Yeah...that's what happens when you get your fisrt job and can actually buy stuff. But I'm trying to cut back on spending money. plus I only just got out of debt for that TV...note that even I, looking back, think it was a foolish move, but what can you expect a stupid teenager to do?
The Wii will cost NO MORE than 250. I'm guessing it'll launch at 200, which is what every Nintendo system has launched at in all history (NES, SNES, N64, and GCN). Of course that's not in 2006 money, but that gets too confusing.
Wii games will cost 50 or less, from what Iwata has said. So you can expect to pay 300 or less to set yourself up.
As for the reserve, I'd go into wherever you reserved it and ask to change your reserve to the Wii, if that's what you want. Otherwise they'll think you want the GCN game, and that'll be what they order.

My Ocarina was $6. They had smaller ones with a cord so one could wear it for $4.

Its not a Zelda one. But yeah, I've looked up on the net and they are costly. I'm going to try and get the Zoo gift shop to sell them. Then I'll be able to get them real cheep (cuz I get a discount) and give them away for gifts.

So, who here has gotten the Fierce Diety Mask in Majora's Mask?

Me! Have you done the glitch that lets you wear the mask in places other than boss battles? It's kinda hard...and not really worth it, except to say you've done it.

Never heard of that one. Can you do that in the Game Cube Version?

I had the Wii and Twilight reserved at EB Games, so me and a friend went and picked it up at midnight. That first night we didn't play all that much Zelda (mostly Wii sports, very little Red Steel, and Zelda for around an hour and a half) since it was around 3 by the time we fell asleep. It took me only 32 hours to beat the game the first time through, but I didn't do any side quests and kind of rushed it a little. The second time through, I got all the heart pieces, items, and most of the side quests completed at around 41 hours. So I'd say that an 100% game would probably take 50 hours first run through. Oh, and it rocks. (I'm trying to post a "review" of the game up here sometime soon)

I had lots of fun playing TP! (though my 'review' sounds infantile next to MFB's. ) In both the GameCube and Wii version I really enjoyed the animation and reactions or gravity, especially of the animals like horse or wolf. The game plot is typically Zelda: epic and sometimes confusing. The graphics are pretty & unique.

I wish they did a 3D remake of Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.
There my opinion ends. I haven't thought about Zelda in a while...bad, bad Cy.

I'm excited about both; but more hopeful than optimistic. While I'm looking forward to a new Zelda, I've kind of...grown (?) in my gaming library. Games have evolved drastically since 5 years ago, and I just don't know how Zelda will adapt. Look at the open world games that have come out in the past 5 years. Assassin's Creed is a good example of open world adventure with Zelda-ish gameplay...or Mass Effect's storytelling. Not to mention the dozens and dozens of FPS games (which have little impact on Zelda, as much as they do the gaming populous)...I mean, who are Zelda fans nowadays? All of us who played it when we were growing up...the children, or "the future", are now into Call of Duty and Gears of War (heck, even Halo is "old" to some of the new gamers!). I'm just worried they won't be able to apply new techniques to Zelda and will end up alienating newcomers...and disappointing gamers who expect more from games nowadays (myself).
Anyway, just thoughts...sorry if this is sporadic sounding. I'm at work and can't give my full attention to the post.

Oh no, now I'm picturing an "Epic Mickey" or "COD" style dark and gritty Zelda revamp (TM). Some high-tech, machine-powered version of slingshots, Link as a Stephen King-style drifter with a bloody sword and a green hat shadowing his face, Navi as a spirit trapped eternally inside a bottle, throw some environmental themes in there and some bloody death...
I'm not sure if I want Nintendo to hear me here or not.
