*slaps head* OY! I dunno WHY I havn't done this before now! A thread for discussion on Video Games (VGs). As long as it's not specifically Zelda related, then it can go here (otherwise, take it to the Zelda thread please). Games I'm playing/going to play: OoT (been listening to music...makes one want to play the game ) TWW (finishing up a game) Games I wanna play: KotOR (Must...buy...game) On another note, I'll be posting VG news here for any odf ye peps who care. This week's main news: The Game Developers Coference is being held...well, today! Features will be the intro of the DS internet capabilities by Nintendo President, Satoru Iwata, as well as at the least, SOME info on the New Zelda. Rumors claim that a new trailer will be unveiled...which would rock awesomenessly beyond all things even remotely kool-aid or bacon. Also, some Revolution info may come up. But the system won't be revealed until this May at E3. X-Box 2, or Xenon ans it's unofficially named, will be talked upon. The system will not be unveiled until E3 however. And...I have no idea what Sony's doing. Probably bringing out spec. charts like they always do. On other matters, Reggie-Filis-Amie, Nintendo's new Vice Prz of Marketing and Sales, the bomb of E3 with his attitude and back-talk, gave a reassuring interview earlier today/yesterday. He spoke of Revolution and Nintendo's look on the future. It was, to be put shortly, epic.

heh, we do have that old "I love you" thread, but MFB obviously deserves this one. I have, by my extensive reviews at MFB.hai, shown a nack for discovering awesomen Star Wars games and not beating them for ages. Favs: SW:KOTOR SW:Jedi Academy SW: Rogue Squadron Enter the Matrix OoT erm, erm...'tis all. what kind of name is Reggie-Filis-Amie?

Yes, you know the SW games before even I do. I didn't hear of the Lego one until you had talked about it at MFB.hai...then saw it at IGN weeks later. Oops! Reggie Filis-Aime, nor Reggie-Filis-Aime. GDC was today. Announcements included the DS going online soon, FOR FREE, at certain hot-spots or something of the sort. Revolution will be also Wi-Fi compatable, as well as backwards compatable with GCN games, meanningm you'll be able to play all your old GCN games on Revolution. Very, very smart move, Big N. The best thing you could've done to give us all hope, and you more sales. As far as other new, I reallu don't know yet. I'm too much into the Zelda stuff.

Lego! WOOT! A yes, the big stuff on the Lucsafilm scene these days is the impending release of two episode III-themed games, one the incredably cool/cute/so mad wierd Lego prequels (Darth Maul! Aaaww...lol) and RotS itself, which is supposed to have the best lightsaber tecnique animation or whatever so far. Awesomen. Also, you get to play Anakin with the yellow eyes, and command Wookiee warriors. WHYYAAAHHH!

WOOT! LIGHTSABERS! Much awesomeness. I, surprisingly, havn't played many SW games where you get to fight with sdabers...only one was Jedi Power Battles for the PS1.

ah, i only know of it for handheld, so my opinion is low. Jedi Academy gives you cool moves like lightsaber throw, kicks, katas (a beautiful thing) along with standard slashes that can look a little clunky, I mean how can you make A.I. fencing? It just...doesn't work. But the sound makes up for that..and custon stuff like a double green saber...*twitch*

Yeah, I suppose that would be impossible. But still, I'd like an advetureish game in which I could slash things with a lightsaber...twould be wepic. Heard that the Lego Star wars got a pretty good review. Too bad these devolpers don't make games for the Cube.

Heh, sorry for not being around lately guys. But I have a logical explaination. I've met a new best friend: www.fileplanet.comA place that collects all the available demos for VGs, as well as other random VG stuff. So far, I've downloaded(in order of preference): Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Accadamy (I'm going to buy this game. Soon.) Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (If I can afford it, I'll likely buy this game too.) Star Wars: Republic Commando (Meh, pretty good. Better than Halo at least.) Halo: Combat Evolved (Man, I heard this game was good...never trust what you hear. Aweful. Not even that fun, IMO.) Demos I have yet to play in full: Final Fantasy VIII Final Fantasy VII I'm now a Nintendo Fanboy with access to PC games. The qorld is doomed, I say. DOOMed with a capatal "D". I even bought a PC controler so I could play them propperly...and they're just demos. GOOP demos, mind you! the Jedi Accadamy one has me head over heals. I'll likely be buying the two games Cy reviewed: JA and KOTOR. Man, I love VGs.

I was thinking about taking out me old N64 the other day. I wanted to play Mario, the one where he is in the castle and has to beat Bowser. Now that game is a classic! I also remember Starfox (twas also awesome), Mario Party, some random futuristic motorcycle game, and Pokemon Snap! I loved Pokemon snap! I figured out all the secrets and everything (with a bit of help from my cousins)
Some of my fav games for PS2 are:
Jak and Daxter Jak 2 Jak 3 Tak 1 and 2 LOTR: The Two Towers (the extras were the best part!) LOTR: Return of the King Some Roller coaster game and there are others, but I can't remember for the life of me. I'll have to go sneak into my brother's room and look. Oh, Metal Gear Solid is a cool game too. The guy, Raiden, looks so awesome! I love his hair!

lol, MFB you gotta get some SW something so we can chat. But JediAcademy first, becuase i still havn't beat KOTOR! I'd get Jak and Daxter if i had the money...is it for xbox? Yez? Pokemon for the handhelds is rather enjoyable. It's a canon with potential it never saw. Fun for long car rides though.

Yeah, Rev looks awesome. Unfortunently, they didn't reveal much, but that's a smart move business-wise on Nintendo's part: they've been stolen from in the past. Control sticks, rumble feature, wireless controllers, etc. But get this: Rev will feature wireless controllers, as well as wireless FREE internet. Awesome. Even better? Backwards Compatibility. The Rev will play ALL GCN games you own as well as the standard size DVD's that will case Rev games. GCN disks hold 1.5 gigs of data. Rev disks will hold nearly 6 times that much: 8.5 gigs. That's a huge amount of data! But the backwards compatability doesn't stop there. Nintendo has yet to announce specifics, but the Rev will be able to download nearly EVERY game they've EVER made via internet. Meanning: the Rev will play all Nintendo games in theory. Awesome. Wheather or not it will be free to download will be decided, as well as if you'l be able to download 2nd and 3rd party games (like GoldenEye, Mega Man, etc.). All I can say is I'm excited to see more of it.

Pretty...Newsflash: The fourth in the Jak trilogy (?) will be called Jak X and will be focused around the racing aspects of the other games, using the dune-buggy type vehicles in Jak 3. There will be races to various sorts of goal, timed races, and car-combat. Also the eternal favorite, lizard herding.
