have you seen the new one? it makes more sense. And the Guild people are cooler. They're so stange! Do you know any good Tad Williams fansites? The ones i've found are really small, and mostly English.

Hmm... the one for Shadowmarch is a pretty big conglomeration, but I don't remember the URL... Like I've said before, Tad Williams fans are quite hard to find.
So, if you find any other good sites, tell me!!

ALmost finished reading Dante Alghieri's Inferno. It is a really good poem/book. Very descriptive, a little hard to understand at times though. I loved the creatures and the way he used them.
Definitely a good book to read.

Heh heh... English class. ;D We're ready Huckleberry Finn. I can't wait for Brit Lit next year... Macbeth, Beowulf, Tale of Two Cities... *sighs*
I'm reading the Silm again. It is so beautiful. I forget, and then I read it again, and fall in love with Feanor... and Maeglin... and Turin... Ahhh... I love Tolkien.

i'm reading too much to have gotten far in Silm, but the style's epic. HHGG is always awesome...To Kill a Mockingbird is interesting in ways, but it's never anything i would read voluntarily. As far as school goes, i like Harper Lee's method of getting inside the heads of her character Scout, who is her, in a way. I've written like that. And it's skill to be able to write stuff from a kid's POV like that, where she can explain things but not really understand them, and the reader has to figure what exactly is going on. I just finished the part with the court *snore* ...just a little too long.

\I just threw words together and made sure they rhymed and then, voila a poem! lol! That's a pretty amusing description actually...from a writer's point of view. Summeries....ugh. They are rather pointless. Useful for studying though.

I hate them. I don't even use them to study, I just remember the parts from the book. I've always been good at that, even in Elementary school, but I suppose that talent spawned from there, b/c I never needed to write summaries till HS.

Yes, I am not much of a summary person.. They are almost how do you say pointless! The teacher keeps the summary usually so, it isn't like you can study just from that.. I have read the book three times already and am just realizing things that I have missed in the book and am glad that I am reading it over again.. In the poem I did throw some rhyming words together but, really it summed up the trial very well and I am pretty proud of that... There is my poem \/..
His Freedom He stood in front of the jury and they didn't have to hurry. "He was the man" Cries the young girl who can. If only they knew What she said wasn't true, He would still be alive And wouldn't have died. She took away his rights, And he never put up and fights. He lost all hope And he couldn't cope. So, he began to run But, was caught by the gun That shot him 17 times. There was only the sound of chimes. He is free at last And all is in the past.

Yeah, but how long are your summaries? Mine are pretty lengthy and I can't shorten them even if I tried, and I have.
Harper Lee is so boring (for me at least) and I have reasons why!!! The whole first part of the book is setting up for the second part of the book. Then the whole second part of the book is preparing you for the end. Agh! Too much explaining and information. I just like reading a story that has a climax. This book does not, or at least I haven't seen one yet.
The MIB book I am reading right now is very good, but I have read it before, so I know what happens already. The quotes at the beginning of the chapters are pretty intriguing, and there is lots of gore...and cursing. First time I read it I was surprised, now I know what to expect.

I can see where you don't like the whole book.. I mean when I read it for a second time I felt as though the first part was a continuation of the second part cause it starts off at the present and then, goes back in time and then, back ot the present.. I don't really know what I like about the book.. I don't like when teachers over analyze the books.. That is what I hate the most about reading books for English.. I wish they would just leave it alone and leave us wondering.. I mean so many things should be left up to the imagination when it comes to books and then, teachers go and correct our inaginations and tell us exactly how the book goes.. I can write pretty lengthy summaries as well so, it can be annoying if you are in a cram and want to write something small just to get the homework done and over with..
