www.imdb.com/title/tt0499549/I really look forward to this movie. Awesome-looking aliens and scenery, and a concept that sounds like, well, I wish I'd written it--guy becomes alien to study their society. A lot of hype's been made about it, and I hope it delivers. If so, that and District 9 make this a banner year for sci-fi.

Yeah, it looks interesting...I've heard a bit, but not much about it. All I know is James Cameron and blue aliens, heh. But yeah, district 9 was AWESOME!

About all I know about the plot is what I said above. That and there's a romance plot, which...er...I hope this movie is gonna be good, but then usually I have higher expectations than movies give out. XD *coughtropicthundercough*
Gah I need to see that. It looked so pretty. When I can rent it for free...

When I see the trailers for this movie I typically shout "Hey, I want to see this movie", and then I proceed to cover myself in drool. I really, really want to see this movie. I hope it is as good as the trailers make it seem, but knowing James Cameron's past work, he won't let us down. I'm a HUGE fan of Terminator, Titanic, and Aliens....a really, really BIG fan. I think he also did some of the predator movies, but I could be wrong.

Woot! Facebook me...the weekend after it comes out sounds good though. I think it comes on a Thursday? As far as I know I'm not working or anything, so if weekdays are better for you that's an option.

I'm *hoping* that I have a job over break, but I should be around nights if I get the job I want. I actually don't even know what day it comes out. We'll figure something out though. I won't go see it without you (I don't think there is anyone else who wants to see it with me anyways! LOL)

I watched Avatar yesterday in 3D and loved it. The graphics were beautiful and with the 3D layering it felt like you were in the middle of the film! It made it feel as if you were flying/fighting along side Jake (the main character) through dense jungle.
I don't much care for some of the political background of it but the film was a fun experience that I would recommend other to watch. ;D

Finally saw it! Excellent stuff. Pandora and the Na'Vi were both so pretty. I wanted to take the Great Leonopteryx home with me.
It could go in the chicken coop. With some expansions done.

I wanted to take Jake home with me. I think he'd work well in my pocket!
Anyways, I saw the movie once with Cy in 3D and again in Imax. EXCELLENT movie and definitely worth seeing in Imax. I loved the characters, the graphics, everything. Probably one of the best movies I've seen this year.

LOL Silver I picture a little blue tail hanging out of your pocket...
So I want to hear favourite characters. I know it goes 1) Trudy 2) Jake for me. I'd like to have gotten more information on Tsu'tey also-- he sortof started out being cast as the cliche rival, but didn't end up that way--and I was curious as to whether he really loved Ney'tiri or just was going to marry the chief's daughter because that's the tradition.
Or perhaps it just goes 1) Last Shadow

I saw the movie last night and LOVED it. I'm seeing it again on Saturday.
Of course, I promptly made my own Na'vi character...

I thought as I was watching it that I wanted to make a Na'vi (or, more likely, a human-avatar) character, but haven't gotten around to it.

lol I was thinking that. Ti'nalya is basically what I wanted my character to be (after I saw the red-painted clan, of course)--excepting her poor busted queue, which is there for plot and because I was curious when I read about that happening in a wiki. Authors are cruel...

Yeah but we're no where near Chapter 18 cruel. *Shutters*
I wonder what its going to be like watching the movie now on DVD. I'll still love the world and characters, but I wonder if I'll have that same "in the moment" feeling.
