And there is always confusion when the Matrix is brought up. Is it real? Is it fake? Are we in the REAL world, or are we plugged? Most of us will never know. ;D

Well than you have to see that movie too. And everything's real untill a couple of centuries from now, that's what all the confusion comes down to.

O, it's not bad. It's just really fun. The only pain comes from not actually being able to live that which you have fallen in love with.

O, it's not bad. It's just really fun. The only pain comes from not actually being able to live that which you have fallen in love with. Ah, yes yes, well put, Cy. That gives many a fan heartaches. An example is the many people who literally cry or go in to a despairation when the beat Ocarina the first time: they love it so much that they dread having to leave the magical land of Hyrule. Me, on the other hand, live there so often: by replays, new games, etc. One of the few things that make me cry from the sheer beauty and joy of it all: The Legend of Zelda. Words cannot express the gladness I felt watching the new Zelda trailer for the first time. Ah, the world of fandom is a beautiful one indeed, full of joys, sadness, and heart all round. ;D

Everything seems to get off topic here. But I see MFB has made a board about fandom, so I shall be off to there...And some universes are never gone. They resonate with you or something, you feel different there...but some people can't do that. I have to say I don't understand people that don't understand falling into a movie..spaz, maybe you can help. Is it that the real world is good to some people, so they don't need another one?

Wowm I don't know but, that is a good question... I just don't like some types of movies... I can understand, if it isn't there type of movie... Like I like drama, and romance.. i am not into mysteries and like fighting and adventurous stuff. Like SW... sorry, i just am not really into that kind of "stuff"

Ah, I see. Tis understandable. What I feel from such things as LotR and Zelda is not explainable. But I suppose the actioniosh parts remind me of gaining valor and honor; fighter for the greater good; to do something truly heroic.
Between the two epics, LotR is actually not my fave. I love the movies and the books; they remain some of my favorite things, but with Zelda...there is a cetain magic there that LotR does not have.
When you have that controler in your hand, you soon forget that it is there. You are not playing Link: you ARE Link. The experiences; the battles; the puzzles; the friendships; the victories; the failures; the sadness; the magic; the awesomeness--it's all yours. When I listen to Zelda music, I'm not just listening, I'm recalling the things I went through.
To me, Zelda is not a game: it's a true life. I AM Link, so to speak. It is probably one reason that writing fanfics about it is so intriguing: they were my experiences. I could blabber on about this, but I'll save everyone from boredom. ;D BACON IS GREAT! DON'T BE LATE! ;D

I don't know if i'm that deep in. Video games are kindof hard for me to connect to, but nor have i played many good original ones. And a lot of "action" is about honor, old ideas, something you just can't have here. I had this conversation the other day about why people like romance flicks...love in and of itself isn't appealing to me. It's boring.
