And why? It's not gonna let you vote for more than one and a time, but speak of any crossover-ing, cause nearly everything does. . I'm writing SF or fantasy, with one fantasy/historical in there, and lots of short SF stories. That's what I read too, and I am becoming fond of Emily Diickinson poetry though I have to do her for my term paper.

I would have to say I enjoy drama/suspense/mystery the most, but I especially love when those genres tie themselves in with sci-fi or fantasy. I love the X-Files novels because of this. I also love stories like Hannibal, Silence of the Lambs, When the Wind Blows, etc. Police novels and mystery novels. I don't like old fashioned mystery novels though. Those get boring for me.
I do enjoy a good fantsy/sci-fi every now and again, but sole fantasy worlds have a tendency to confuse me. I tend to like sci-fi and fantasy stories that take place on Earth. The Last Book in the Universe and The Night the Heads Came are very good books. I should probably read them again...
Anyway, yeah...I guess I mostly pick books on their covers or titles. If the book has a boring cover I gerenally don't read it. If it looks interesting, chances are it is.

FANTASY!! LOTR! HP! Lord Loss and a thousand books you've never heard of and some that aren't available to the public yet. Sci-Fi is my second choice with SW and Spy High. Then His-Fic with The Pale Horseman.
