Hey! We don't have any polls on here...well, now we do. ;D I thought this would be fun. And a good way to try out the poll feature. Don't forget to give a reason why you like your choice. So...?

My fave of the three would have to be RotK. For a few reasons: - It's the most emotional of the three.
- It has some of the best one-liners in movie history (IMO). "Let him go, you filth!" Priceless. And don't forget, "I am no man!" Another cool one.
- It the last, and lasts are almost ALWAYS the best (cept with the Matrix).
(I just HAD to try out that list tag. ;D)

I like The Fellowship the best because--HEY! There's a cute guy and a cat in that one too! lol It's the most scary one...at least it was for me. Frodo is still nice in the first one. The second one he looks drugged, like he had too many death sticks or...something. The third one was ok, but it doesn't beat the first one.

The third, because of the action, the battle before Gondor, the Mouth of Sauron, and hey, it's the cool end where Frodo gets his finger taken off and all is cool.

i like the two towers best-- there is no reason why, i just... do! it's weird, like me. actually, there was something about helms deep that intrigued me.
i love them all- but i dont liek frodo's part in the RotK, and there's not enough i dont know - my type of action - in the FotR.

RotK was the cause of floods. I cried like...the last 2 hours. Yeah, I was thinking how cool it would've been if they hadn't revealed who "Durnhelm" was before that "I am no man!" scene. But after much reflection, I like the added stuff the put in between: "My lady," "Courage Merry; courage for our friends," the whole EE scene, "Merry's Simple Courage," etc. Although much cheering and goosbumbs would've been caused by surprize, I'm not sure if the people in the theater could have shouted any louder.

Hmmm....I should read RotK again. I've read the other two so many times, but RotK I've only read...three times? The others...like 5. I heard that the Simirillion was kinda...boring. But I also know that Tolkien liked it best. I suppose I should try to get ahold of it sometime.

it's really quite insane how obsessed Tolkien was with the history of his made up world. I mean I'm creating past wars for Yingyns, but he just went...all out. Insane. He was obsessed, he must have been madly in love with his own canon, because he wrote so much! That's how you get something really good. You love it.

I'm gonna side with k.elf here. I loved TTT the best. Don't get me wrong...i LOVED them ALL! but TTT was my fave. THat battle at Helm's Deep was amazing and near accurate to the crazieness of war. Hook: But I voted RotK. Warious: Tough. MY account get your own. Hook:...um...I can't. Warious: I know.

I can't technically vote for one, as they were all originally one book. Which is why they were also originally called Volumes. The world messes up so much greatness.
It took Tolkien somewhere near five or six years to write the Return of the King, because he found a bunch of tiny discrepancies in it, such as the position of the moon when Frodo is in Mordor vs when Aragorn was in Gondor. Soooo complicated. He was a major perfectionist, Tolkien. I envy him so much.
