Well for those of u who have been eagerly expecting this story, I have finally started it. I think I have a pretty good beginning, although, if u read just what I have, u will probablt be confused. This part I just wrote up doesn't really explain anything, but I think this is going to be the best story I've like ever written. Let me know how u guys like it. I will update it eveytime I write more, so don't worry, more is on it's way. Here goes:
Why are you doing this?
Because it is who I am....
My dream always ended this way. I could never tell what was going on, who was in it, or where it was taking place, yet I always remembered these two lines. The voices speaking them were strange, but so familiar. Of course the question “why” has boggled my mind for as long as I can remember, however the answer has still yet to come.
* * *
The wind was calmly blowing that day as I slowly strolled down the street. The weather had been horribly dark and gloomy this past week, yet Mother Nature had held back her worst storms so far. Today’s weather, however, was not looking as “cheerful” as the last few days’. I trusted Her to hold back any tempestuous moods till I at least reached work.
My place of employment stood tall, glaring down upon the world. Many people quickly strode past the ancient edifice for some unseen reason, while others stood in front of it bewildered. I, myself, having seen it almost every day for the past five years, thought nothing of it’s history or meaning.
I made my way quickly up the stone steps and through the door. Fearing the wrath of my boss for being once again late, I knew I had to be quick to avoid him.
The maze of hallways proved no hard task, for I had been down them one too many times. Each day I found myself heading down the pathways to a completely new peril, hoping my life would once again be spared.
I was almost to my office, but.....
“Agent Sabryki!” came a deep voice that I could tell was quite agitated.
I turned around quickly, my mouth already open and ready to make an excuse.
“Don’t even think about giving me any of your bull! Your late again!” He abruptly scolded me in that scary, deep toned voice. “You do realize that suspension is looking awfully close?”
“Sir, I am very sorry for this. I realize I am late, but I assure you it will not happen again,” I said confidently, but with a sneaky smirk on my face.
“Get to work,” he grunted as he turned to leave.
I stepped back and circled around to enter my office. Before even opening the door, I could hear the voices from within. I quickly entered, and shut the door behind me.
“You’re late again?” came the tall, yet muscular guy sitting at the desk. His chin length, dirty blonde hair was perfectly positioned on his head and a pair of reading glasses were settled delicately on the bridge of his nose.
“Yes, Kay, thank you very much for caring. It was especially nice of you to leave with out me,” I mumbled angrily to my husband.
“I asked you if you wanted to come with me and you said you were gonna walk!” he countered.
“I never said anything of the sort,” I declared.
I realized that one of the two other agents in the room was quietly laughing about our silly conversation. I felt myself blush, but not before shooting him and Kay each an angry glare.
“You know, you guys are supposed to be on my side, NOT trying to find ways to make me late.”
Thiek Quentyn looked at me with a look of pure innocence, “We’re sorry, It’s won’t happen again.” He and Kay began laughing hysterically up.
“I hate you,” I muttered angrily back to them and took a seat beside Amiya Falin.
“I feel your pain,” whispered Falin.
I smiled and looked back to Kay.
“So what are you up to?” I asked. “What’s in the agenda for today?”
“A couple of things.” he said, taking off his glasses and setting them on the desk.
