I know there was already a post somewhere about X-Files, but I am so in the mood to discuss it or watch it!!! I found this whole thing on that Jerry-the-Frog productions site and I have been cracking up ever since. Of course I had to go and read some actual quotes from the show and then I went and found a website that has most of the scripts from all the episodes. Now I really want to watch the show again. I wish our library had the DVDs to rent!
The only two seasons I basically watched from beginning to end was season 8 and season 9. I still haven't watched the last episode though. I have it taped, but never watched it. Season 9 things fell to pieces. Season 8 was pretty good, but the best episodes were the middle seasons where Mulder wasn't looking for his sister. That definitely got old after awhile. I kind of liked the Doggett character though. I didn't much care for Reyes...she was too "mulder-like" I guess. In Season 9 Reyes and Doggett tried to be too much like Mulder and Scully.
Anyway, someone come and discuss X-FIles with me! Even if you have only seen a few shows! I'm craving more X-Files! Jeesh, It's been so long since I was obsessed...

Here ya go. I watched an episode where a chihuahua fell in a grate, just today...didn't see all of it. My mom met this lady at her work who 'investigates' paranormal like that, she believes in UFOs and stuff, which was kinda interesting and X-Filesish. I watch it when I can, though not the new ones without Mulder.

I almost bought the 8th season today. I had the money and everything, but the walmart I went too didn't have it in. When I asked the guy there he got all excited and knew exactly where to look. LOL, I swear he was what they call an "X-Phile". Hehehe, It's what they call X-File fanatics I guess, well, even more fanatic than I am.
I know the episode you were watching. It was one where Mulder and Scully had to pose as a married couple to find out about these strange occurrances in this small town. Anyone who didn't follow the rules in the town would be killed by this monster. The part when the chihuahua falls in the sewer is when Scully reaches in to grab it and finds this necklace who belongs to one of the guys who was killed. I'm pretty sure that was the episode you were watching. Those were some of the best. LOL, and the music makes me laugh...
I've been in a Doggett mood though, I guess since I've been thinking about terminator a lot. Doggett (Robert Patrick) was the one who played the metal man in Terminator.
You wouldn't happen to have an E-mail of this lady your mom worked with do you? I've met a few ppl like that, but never really did get a chance to talk to them much. I did once get to go in this FBI agent's private car because I was nominated to go on this 4-H trip to visit the prosecutors office. It was pretty cool and I felt special. I've also met some local FBI agents through my dad's job which is also pretty cool. And then of course there are the RL Scullys...who are not related to the character Scully...Hmmmm....
Anyway, I was disappointed tonight. I thought it would be a season 8 recap night if I was to get the videos at Walmart *cry*

Probably that's the right episode. I like the name 'X-Phile'...it is interesting. I can ask my mom about this lady, but she doens't want to get to involved with it, and I think e-mail would be too involved. She works for the government now...muahaha. I named your Seabright Scully.

Yes, I am an X-File. Though I wouldn't go so far to consider myself a "Shipper" (one who is into the supposed romance of Mulder and Scully) Ah, I see...interesting. Government. That's pretty cool, pretty strange though. Yeah, there is something bigger out there, a different government if you would. I've heard stories and I've witnessed things...it's just...weird. Anyway, I love stuff like that and for years I wanted to work in a paranormal type job. I still wouldn't mind doing that, but the money just isn't there and I've been convinced out of becoming anything that has to do with government. Too many politics and for me politics = anguish. Yuck. Anyways, I'm ordering Season 8 from Amazon tomorrow so it should be here just in time for fair. I'm so excited! I can't wait to watch it! Then I will get season 7, which has one of my favorite episodes on it (First Person Shooter - awesome video game episode) OMG! I just found and awesome photo! Feast yer eys on this: Anyways, after I get Season 8 I will just buy all the seasons from there, little at a time. *Pointless info ended*

*screams* I got Season 8!!!! OMGosh!!!! I'm so excited!!!! I've watched two episodes so far - Within and Without. I like the second one much better. The first episode of the season is kind of boring. I'm bringing it to the fair though, so we can watch some of it! WoOt!

*feasts eyes* Coolnessness! Might we watch some together? I don't know how long I'll be able to stay and all...
Government...I tend to avoid it. I mean I think that it's all a conspiracy because the social system basically dooms peopleis you can't get money, and to rise to the top you have to malicious and persistant and sometimes cheat. Are they hiding Area 51? Maybe. Are they in fact a cadre of people who know that the whole USA is actually an experiment? Probably not...it wouldn't make enough profit.

Sure, we can some, but I'll warn you. This was one of the last seasons and it goes deep. I bought this season because it was one of the only ones I watched from beginning to end AND it started it all.
Season 8 was the beginning of everything...
Actually, the episode Agua Mala was, but Season 8 started the EPI, the obsessions, 6th and 7th grade conspiracies. You may enjoy it though.
The only annoying thing about season 8 was that mulder wasn't in many of them, but Doggett was instead. I really liked Doggett though, but Scully gets annoying sometimes. Mulder comes back at the end of the season and that's where it all turns hilarious. There's just too many inside jokes that I have in this season. I can't watch it without cracking up. I supose if ye have the time we can watch some and explain them. Between Kristin and I it'll be a grand old time...

Well we never got a chance to watch it at the fair. Oh well. There will be other times.
The conspiracies run deep and the characters get deep. You really get to see the connection between Mulder and Scully and Skinner's personality really begins to show. Most of the time you hated him, but in season 8 you almost want to like him. The FBI somewhat turns on him and he is thrust into Mulder and Scully's position. Especially after he sees the UFO abduct Mulder (Season 7). Scully turns from skepticism to believer and John Doggett almost takes her place as the skeptic. At first you hate John Doggett, but he's a pretty likeable character in the third episode. The one that you really hate is Agent Reyes. Ugh, why oh why did they add her?! Oh and then there is the whole thing with Scully's alien baby that sounds like a beeper. That whole things is kind of weird but you really get to the bottom of that alien conspiracy. And then of course you find out more about Samantha, Mulder's long lost abducted sister. And CSM, and Krychek, and Kersh, and the unmarked vans, and Doggett's allies, and, and, and.... hehe, so much.
It wasn't the BEST season, but it was the one that has the most memories attached to it and the one you can get some good laughs out of. Plus it was the only one I watched from beginning to end.
I have to admit Reyes's whale song was pretty funny. Ha, and John Doggett's obsession speech. "Believe me, I know obsessions." hehe
See, the other seasons (like seasons 5, 6, 7) you can just sit down and watch with out having any background knowledge about the show. Season 8 would get a little confusing if you don't know about the deeper conspiracies, but hey, it's still cool. Season seven could get a bit confusing too towards the end, but the beginning of season seven is very good. Plus that is the season with First Person Shooter. Oh, the Gunmen are in Season 8 too. THey are tracking UFO's and helping to look for Mulder. Haha, Skinner and them become somewhat buddy buddy. NOW that is funny.

LOLOL, I can't stop laughing. Look what I found! This was the picture in a newspaper that was given to me in 6th grade I believe. I still have this newspaper somewhere. I remember guarding this paper with our lives (The other EPI members. EPI, hehe, such old memories) One time a teacher almost got hold of it and we freaked. Anyway, here's the pic. There's a lot of good pics on this website. Oh yeah, the picture in the newpaper took up like the entire page. It was pretty impressive. Haha, that picture makes me laugh. Look at how they are all walking. So serious.... Oh yeah, there are a ton of people in the season 8 that are from other places! I couldn't believe it! The guy in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory who plays the Oompa Loompa is in it, the Uncle from Spy Kids is in it, and there were a few others. I was watching it last night and I was like, OMG, I know these people! Oh, and then there is the sign of the Ponies. LOL, somewhat of an inside joke. You'd have to see the episode "invocation" and my 4-H leader's pony. LOL \l/ / \ Hehe, there's the sign of the ponies. Well, the best one I could do. You know the things that the pnoes tie up to to give pony rides? That's what it was supposed to be. It was actually pretty creepy. I also watched Redrum last night. That was a pretty clever idea, but at the end it didn't really make sense. I'll exolain the episode later I guess. I'm tired now.

Doggett: "What are you saying? Ray Pearce has become some kind of metal man? Because that only happens in the movies, Agent Scully."
LOLOLOL. Haha! I was watching the X-FIles at work today and it was the episode Salvage. I don't quite remember that one when it was in the season, but anyways, Doggett said the above quote and I broke out laughing. As for the explanation why....
You see, the guy who played Doggett, Robert Patrick, was also the guy who played the metal man in Terminator. He was the bad guy that went around killing everybody and he could change shapes because he was a robot made out of Mercury. I couldn't believe they had a Terminator reference in X-FIles! Too funny!!
BTW, I'm going to rename this post "the X-Files Journal" because it seems like I (and Cy too) are the only ones who post in this thread anyway. I figure we can just make it a journal of the wonderful X-Files journeys where everyone can come, conspire, and discuss their daily X-Files happenings. Ok, so it's a bit dramatic but you get the point.

SKINNER CRIED TODAY!!!!
Yes, that's right...Skinner actually cried in the episode Requiem. Actually Skinner AND Scully both were crying at the same time, but Scully always cries so she doesn't count. MAN! I don't ever remember seeing that episode! Haha, the Lone Gunmen were in it too...There was something funny I wanted to say about them too, but I forgot. It was actually a pretty emotional episode, if I hadn't already known what was going to happen. It was the Season 7 finale.
Anyway, just had to share. Enjoy.

So a couple days ago I saw this episode that can only be described as crazy and insane. It must be one of those where the director's just bored or something...there were some wepic quotes.
Scully: there is no Gospel of Mary. The original would be a fake. Wayne: so is this a real fake, or a fake fake...?
Wayne: I didn't halucinate! That was either mechanical, or CGI. Mulder: This isn't a movie. It's real life. Wayne: the difference is?
Mulder: 42.
"What's the problem, Mr. Zombie?"
"The people are made out of turkey!!"
Mulder:What are you going right now, Mr. Skinner?" Skinner:Taking a bubble bath.
