I hope you didn't pee yourself /wink jk
I didn't go, but I did finish the LOTF series, which made my day(s). For a couple of days I just re read it and told myself I couldn't read another star wars book that could be less awesome.

I might have cried a little. /deadpan
Nifty. Do tell--I never read LotF myself and am currently nerdraeging at FotJ.

FotJ is my next endeavor after I read MF.
If you've read the NJO series (especially Traitor) you'll love Lotf. Plus Mando's are great in the series. I <3 Mando's.

Yeah, but see I read NJO. XD I loved Traitor because Stover's writing made Jacen interesting--but I thought he himself became less so when he followed the kinda cliche "fall to the dark side" path. As the kids grew up they became more like stock heroes and some of their traits were forgotten. NJO also had the Yuuzhan Vong to keep it feeling fresh and shocking-- LotF needed more aliens. I don't like married!Luke, I like Mandos but they don't really sway my opinion much...
Yeah.
I'm just getting tired of SW books in general, really, I can write better--okay, I do not mean do plot or characterization better, but I have more interesting word choice and can write action better than anyone who has written for FotJ. Feel free to challenge me on that opinion--my work is easily accessible. But the EU writing tends to be bland, and when I can learn more from fanfic writers...
Eh. Sorry.

Write books then Cy :3
Jacen was interesting in the darkside not because he fell to it, but because of his rational for doing so. I don't thiiink i've seen any other darksider do what he did. Excluding maybe Palps, that wily old bastard.
Okay I thought you haven't read LoTF? In my opinion sibling rivalry makes up for aliens. Though I have to admit the books didn't lead up to each other all that dramatically, like the Anakin series did. Married Luke is old news lol. He's okay. Not much different than the various other Lukes, except for youngerish Luke.
Mando's are awesome still though, and the writing was really good to them.

I do! : P
I've read bits and pieces of LotF, enough to know that I was bored. What is it that Jacen did that was like Palpatine? I'm certainly willing to try it again...
Jaina being trained by old!Boba is a pretty cool concept.

Well you know he had a bunch of visions in NJO series and he was so afraid to like wipe out the galaxy from his mistake that he wanted power and to protect the galaxy. He pretty well took over the government, or at least the Military, and he has a daughter. Pretty sweet stuff.
Oh and Daala is pretty cool in those books.

Tell me what you think of Daala in LotF. I do generally like her, though...all the way back from the Jedi Academy days.
Took over the military and had a kid...sounds like his grandfather. XD
I liked the flow-walking scenes, but sortof felt that...they were treading too near the realm of fan fiction. Yes it's cool to see Anakin and Jacen compared or whatever, but time travel just doesn't have the feel of the OT.

Well unfotunately Daala only gets a small appearance far as I can see (I don't think I ever read Inferno, but I could be wrong) but with Pellaeon + Fett all there it's kinda cool to have a convo between the three. She seemed a bit nerfed from her earlier Jedi Academy days though.
Yeah, I can see how they would be kinda fan fictiony, but to me that doesn't really take away from them. I mean Flow walking IS pretty awesome.
Keep in mind people have had visions of the past before too. Flow Walking is a bit more advanced then that, but i'm pretty sure Anakin/Palps/Luke/Leia/Yoda/Kenobi/Cade/a lot of other people had visions of the past as well.
I heard they were making a movie about LOTF. What do you think about that?

Daala becomes much more important in FotJ.
Visions of the past...true. They just weren't visions one could walk around in.
Er. Heard this where? I don't think that's happening.

Haha, there's always rumors like that. I'm not sure it would be viable for them to make a movie out of the books. Next thing Lucasfilm is doing is Red Hawk (oh and also that live action thin Seth Green's heading up, but that's years away.)
