MASS EFFECT!!!!!!!!1!1!*shift*1!! I'm obsessed with it right now! I've gotten...7 characters? I think? I discovered it about a month ago (the first one) and got addicted. Then the second one...wow. I even downloaded the soundtrack! lol How far have you gotten? I'm DEFINITELY going back and playing the first and second a few times...I have to play renegade once (right now I'm like uber-paragon, heh O:) ) then also as a girl...yeah, I know. But I want to hear the voice acting diferences.

!!!111 Also obsessed 111 I finished it like yesterday--and cried. I won't spoil anything, but BioWare, I want to write like you! (The soundtrack is pretty cool too, isn't it?)
I've beaten it once on female/Paragon and am going to start another one with something different, just not sure what yet, lol. I'm thinking of the two versions as "big TV" and "little TV" versions a bit, because the set I have here at school is too tiny for me to want to read the text so....the codex is waiting for me at home, lol.
Has the guy's voice acting improved between the two games? I heard it was pretty bad--at least compared to her, whom I can't help liking even though I think of her as Jaden from Jedi Academy sometimes.

I finished mine Saturday night, and yeah, it was epic...I hear that you can actually fail the mission, so I was terrified the entire time that someone was going to die...luckily, my team made it out alive (I devoted 30 hours in preparation/gathering my team though, so I would hope I did ok!). The ending was amazing...I don't think I've played a game with that awesome of an ending in a long time! I started another game (the first) as a male Infiltrator, but on Hardcore (I think...or whatever the difficulty is that's the highest before you unlock Insanity). But I'm thinking of switching over to an Adept or Vangard. The male Sheperd's voice never bothered me in the first, except that he seems a bit...detached, especially during "emotional" scenes. But in the second, at least for the primary dialog (if you don't "investigate"), his voice is more appropriate for the situations. Especially during combat, I noticed a lot more variation in his tone. But even during the more emotional moments, I was more impressed in the second one. I can't wait to play through with a female Sheperd; the voice actress has been in so many games, I'm interested to see how it plays differently. (She was Bastila in KOTOR, Samus in Metroid (not like that's much of a speaking role), and a ton of other games). Small TVs don't really work for 2...I heard that the text is near impossible to read.

I wasn't breathing during the entire endgame. I was stubborn and didn't look up hints, so not everybody got out alive--and that more than irked me. But I just started another playthrough, and I'm going to do it this time, I swear! My first Shep was a soldier, and I really like that class, but my second is an Adept, because I want to figure out really how to use biotics well. XD (I'm such a terrible gamer, I'm surprised I beat it at all. But I was obsessed. Like, writing-fanfic-obsessed.) I've watched on YouTube a game where the PC died, and it's really dramatic--Joker ends up the only one left alive. *tear* It's really well-done though--
although I thought that the "appropriate emotion" problem existed for femShep too. Her responses were really clinical at times; I had some trouble identifying with her. I may do another campaign as a male; I usually don't, but I am curious about his voice.
Yeah, small text is small. Was it difficult to read for you too? I thought it was just me. XD

See, if one of my characters had died...I probably would have shed a tear or two also. I was mostly afraid for Tali, because twice I thought she would die...and I like Tali. Who are your favorites? Garrus is one of my tops, because he was my favorite from the first. I really like Thane too, and Miranda. Actually, I kinda like most of the characters...I could care less for Jack and Grunt though. I usually keep Garrus and Miranda on my squad, but sometimes I swap out Garrus for Thane, depending on my mood. I played as a soldier my first run too. I like it a lot; it was more fast paced than the other classes, I think. But I'm looking forward to doing more biotics...should be interesting. If you don't mind me asking, who died in your suicide run? I hear that Mordin is usually the "easiest" one to die, but that all depends on...things. lol I can't wait to try out a few different choices in the first and see what they do to the second one. I'm gonna save Kaiden this time (I couldn't stand him in my first run, but then discovered that I hated Ashley even more...then she started getting all...*flirty*. blech! And I couldn't figure out a way to tell her "NO! Leave me alone!" lolol). And also, I'm gonna save the council this time...I bet that will have some major impact on the game in some way. I have a big enough tv that the text wasn't a problem for me.

Yeeeaaaah, tears. Erm, deaths. RIP Garrus, Jack, Miranda, Legion...I think that was it. And I romanced Garrus, so...good for Romeo-and-Juliet tragic fanfic, not so good for Cy's mental state. XD I'm definitely going to play through again if only so that he shows up in the third one.
Tali is definitely my favourite female character--and her loyalty mission was intense. That's the one I had to think longest about in order to decide what to do!
My favourites-- Garrus was awesome in this game (although mostly in the first half--his dialogue options were surprisingly minimal even with the romance subplot. I liked him better as Archangel.) And I always had a soft spot for Joker, so getting to see him more in this game was pretty win. I'm hoping he'll end up as a party member in the third one. *crosses fingers* Mordin was also awesome. Usually I kept Garrus and Grunt with me, and sometimes Jacob, sometimes Jack...depends. XD I liked a lot of them. Except Miranda, now. She never stopped creeping me out--so authoritative and all "I saved you from death, be frightened of me." I thought Grunt was cute for a krogan (and pretty useful!)--or maybe my Shep was just missing Wrex. Thane was the one that I sortof ignored. Idk, he seemed to be trying too hard to be cool, and those flashback sequences were trippy.
I was thinking about this the other day, about there's so many infinite ways the third game could go different depending on your first and second choices---argh, its epic.

Oh no!! I'm sorry. That kinda sucks...I like Garrus a lot, and I was glad he made it out; although actually, I never worried about him. I made him leader of the other group, because he was the one I trusted the most to get out alive. I wouldn't miss Jack or Leigon that much, but I didn't spend any/much time with either of them. Did you do everyone's loyalty mission, or did you skip a few? The aforementioned Jack/Leigon were the only ones' I skipped. I was sad for Tali during her mission. Almost accidentally "romanced" her too, which would have been embarrassing since I'd already started with Miranda; but I restarted the conversation, lol I agree that Garrus was just awesome/epic/badass as "Archangel." He was the first character I got, and man, did it get me excited! I was just amazed when I found out it was him...made that possibly my favorite recruit moment ever He didn't talk much outside of that though...once you have him, he quiets up quite a bit until his loyalty mission. Joker! Joker is like my favorite character, period! He's so hilarious! I love the part near the end...his swearing was the funniest thing in the whole game (even if that part was like, whoa, drama). The scene where he returns is one of my favorites...with the SR2 Normandy being "christened". I was never a big fan of Wrex; not that I didn't like him, but I just never really got "attached" to him in the first. So when he died...I felt bad. Like I should have helped him more, or made more of an effort to get to know him. What do you think about if they'd make a Mass Effect movie? I think it'd be epic! And they'd totally have to go with Mathew Fox for Shepherd. He'd be *perfect*!

Not gonna lie, I was pretty upset. But I'm gonna try again and attempt to salvage my gaming ego from its smoldering ruins. Legion didn't bother me so much, but Jack was entertaining.
I skipped Samara's--tried it once, couldn't get the other asari's attention, didn't care enough. XD I did all the rest of them though, including Legion's. Did you go online to get Zaeed?
LOL accidental romance! This is mostly funny because the same thing, up to and including restarting the conversation, happened with me and Kelly. I couldn't have gone through with it, but it was embarrassing/amusing anyway. XD
Garrus, always calibrating.
Joker! <3 His save-the-day scene was amazing (and full of the lulz--Matrix reference for the win). I really hope he gets more screen time in ME3. He's been the only one who was always there for/with Shepard, and the beginning of the game was so epic when s/he went back for him--argh.
Even with my pro-femShep leanings (what do you think of Dichen Lachman?), I agree that Matthew Fox would do the trick. LOL a movie would be fantastic! I love how they're making the games a trilogy though--I can't wait to see how everything wraps up (and of course, playing on the name, it'll all be massively different depending on your choices.)

Samara is boring; that's all there is to it. She's so...flat. But maybe that's just my opinion. I don't blame you for not finishing her loyalty mission (I got the artat-yachi's attention by accident). That reminds me -- I actually DID do Jack's, but didn't get her loyalty. I think it's because I sided with Miranda in the fight on the Normandy afterwards. LOL, didn't think of it that way..."Oh, whoops! Sorry! Didn't mean to romance you!" lolol And...ew! Kelly?! But you're a girl! I guess they don't discriminate... Yes! Poor Joker and his leg, though I loved the beginning scene -- made sense that Sheperd would save him. Maybe he'll get it fixed in ME3, and then he'll be an active member of your crew! I googled her, and yeah, she definitely looks the part (of course, everyone would want their own Sheperd's look -- I, however, am too boring and like the default, but AC...). I don't know any of the shows on her filmography, but that's one reason I think Mathew Fox would be great -- his acting in Lost would translate well (leader, lots of morally ambiguous choices, "rousing" speeches, etc. etc.). But either way, we have the games, which are ultimately better than a movie anyway. BTW -- I made a couple skins for Mass Effect: N7 and SR2 Normandy. The first is more ME2ish, but I like the second more -- SPACE!

I am all over that Normandy skin. Awesome stuff! Thankye for being all technologically skilled and whatnot.
(I named my new-ish car Normandy.)
I ended up with both Miranda's and Jack's loyalty by taking a handful of paragon actions after and during their fight, but, no, Samara never really did anything for me.
Argh, Kelly's, like, omnisexual. I read on the wiki that you can romance her regardless of whether you've got a paramoure or not. This confused/freaked me out. Hehe. I can't believe we get so much interaction with her and so little with Joker...*grumblegrumble* Not gonna lie, him as a party member in ME3 would make me happy--him as a romancable party member would be even better. XD *waves goodbye to Garrus*
I didn't watch Lost, so...she played a covert operative type in Dollhouse, very authoritative but always with this sortof catlike air that I really liked.
Games really are better than movies in this case! I like the infinite amount of choices. I always try to make my character look like me (my first one sortof succeeded but looks old; my second looks young partially due to the black lipstick and cropped red hair. Not quite military regulation, lol.)
