While word of mouth and activity is (and should be) the greatest focus, a couple of these issues mentioned can be solved by something we don't have: an actual site. I mean a server, with a domain name, and everything. See, google goes of of both a ranking system, and by page information. Right now, if you do a google search for ESPS, we aren't there (well, we are, but not at the top). Now, if we had pages with meta-tags that we could control...and links that link to more of our pages (since this is also part of the google algorithm) we might have a greater chance of showing up on google as the first link. In addition to this, a site would allow us to have FILES. And by files, I mean IMAGES. Right now, the images are broken because I chose not to renew my old domains (no one loves me ) but if we had a server of our own, then it would be a ton easier to manage this problem. All of those reasons, plus add the fact that with a host, we could have an actual front page, and other things around the forums, sounds like a win to me. I wouldn't mind helping set up the site, building the actual site itself, and even paying for the first year or so of hosting too. The main thing I need to know is...what does everyone think of this? Also, if I'm unable to pay for hosting next year, what then? Would anyone be willing to help "donate to the cause" if the website was still needed then? Thoughts?

Ergh....ugh...ruargh...
I think I just prefer Proboards, plus there's eons of 'history' of ESPS here...
I did think of one thing though, that we can go on certain manga/anime online sites and advertise there, or help out with scanning/translating. Just happened to notice a site that does that has 25k + members, so obviously a lot.

Or we could just petition the oldbies to return! I'd like to see the site active again. It got that way for a little while earlier this year. Then I got busy with life and stuff and had to duck out for awhile!

I like the idea of having an actual site, although of course the ProBoards should remain as a record of the past (and also as a backup.)
