Nah, havn't played it. Supposedly it's good, but I don't trust it. You see, very few handheld Zeldas are Nintendo made. They are licenced by Nintendo, but made by CAPCOM...ugh, don't like them much...their games are only average or worse...cept their most recent one, but that would be disgressing. I don't like the concept of a "misnish" Link. Tis quite...childish sounding. I'll stick with TWW for my cartoony Zelda. Much more mature. (Even more mature than OoT in some aspects, but in many others, less.)

"The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap" begins with the tale of the Piko tribe, a clan that forged a blade which a hero used to dispell an evil from the land (The sword is not the Master Sword). Years later, Link and Zelda (a completely new set of the two; meanning, not OoT, not TWW, new peps) came to the 100 year festaval held in honor of this blade. There, an evil sorceror, Vatti, appeared and broke the blade in two. He set Zelda to stone and left Hyrule in shock. Link then set out, by the aid of a mysterious hat, Elzo, to find these legendary Piko (now called the "minish" people) and restore the blade. Then he could free Zelda from the hands of Vatti's evil curse. (The blade, if I know right, is the Four Sword.)

Exciting tidbit of the upcoming Zelda. This is quoting Aonuma, one of the game's main directors: "The next grand Zelda game, which follows chronologically after the Wind Waker, will be released at the end of 2005 in Japan," "I can reveal one lone secret: it'll be very, very beautiful." From: To: Little Linky has all grown up. So the next time someone says the Wind Waker's Link is a wimp, I'll just direct them to the new Link's pic. What does the info mean? 1) The New Zelda will be set, in story, after TWW. In reality, I can't say that this means TWW's Link is the same as the New Zelda's, but I assume that this is so. 2) The New Zelda will be released here, sometime in the 4th Quater of this year. Expect it Novemer/December. 3) It'll rock beyond all else. When the director says it will be ver VERY beautiful, it will be. Zelda developers are useually very modest and reserved. Awesomeness. About time they gave us SOMETHING!!!

well I nearly fainted with the artistic beauty of that pic...epic comes to mind. PRETTY LINK... So how does it work that there is a Link and Zelda in all these different time frames? Is it just a Game Programming thing?

Well, the Zelda of legend became so famous that all Princesses of the Royal Familly after her were named "Zelda." That explains her. As for Link, you name yoyr character. So, in theory, Link's name can be different. It's all up to you. Besides, YOU are Link anyway, at least, that is the intent of the game developers.

Oooo.... Link's hot.....
*cough*
I can't wait for the new one.... it has the animation that I like. I don't like the Windwaker animation. And I can't play games with bad animation..... *coughwhyIplayfinalfantasycough* Heh, how shallow is that?

Meh, Bad is not the same a different. TWW was a beautiful game. Hands down. People disregarded it because they disliked the "animation," a.k.a., graphical style. I have nothing against anyone for disliking the style, but it was not "bad." It was beautiful, new, and nothing will ever best it's unique style in this gen's consoles. That said, I'm glad they returned to OoT's beautiful realism. So much more Zelda.

ooooh get it now I do. So I could name Link Neo, and then it would be Neo the Hero of Time, or Bob the Hero of Time, or Han Solo the Hero of Time, or ChickenMaster the Hero of Time... snrk.

Pbbbbttth. Guilt trip..... Alright, not bad. I'll admit, the animation was good, but it reminded me too much of old handheld games 'n such, if you catch my meaning.
I discovered Link's Pink Faerie sword in SCII last night..... hehehehe... and the roly-kicky move. Fwee.

aww, Zelda. And infrared Link...that would make a cool premise for a game actually! It'd be like being able to shrink but better, and there'd be all kinds of monsters and items and quests you can only do in infrared...*goes off to ponder Zelda ff*
